Argue to death.

This is extremely interesing, especially considering Janette and I never argue, except about who has to choose what to eat. I wonder why these two stay together? Maybe they’re masochists, or maybe they have really incredible sex, or something. At any rate, I would have left such a relationship quite early in it.

Weird congnitive disconnects

Funny thing how the brain works. Through a strange train of thoughts, I was thinking about The Man from Snowy River. Don’t ask, it’s long and strange. Anyway, I suddenly thought that the father in that movie was Michael Douglas. And I thought to myself, “Wow. I wouldn’t have even known who he was when I saw that movie last. That’s quite interesting.” It turns out that I was half right. The Douglas part was right, but it was Kirk Douglas, not Michael. In this case, it was a visual memory that prompted me to think it was Michael. I had this image of him getting mad about the daughter telling him the kid rode the prize horse. And of course, the entire world knows the two look the same from similar periods of thier lives, so it’s a natural mistake. Anyway, strange brain fart.

As a side note, here’s the tagline from that movie:
The story of a boy suddenly alone in the world. The men who challenge him. And the girl who helps him become a man.

Sounds very primative, or even animalistic. Kid challanges adult males for the female, wins, and fucks her. Great movie.

I just found that interesting.

Cow Gone Bye Bye

Okay, I was going to blog about this yesterday, but I forgot. (Long day… and another one today, it looks like), but the cow from the previous post is gone. Very weird. I wonder why it was there at all, and why it was taken away? Maybe it just got up and walked away…

Holy Cow!

Okay, this is weird. There’s a metal cow outside the Doof and Grud mart at Packard and Stadium. I thought this kind of thing only happened in the southwest, and certainly not here in Ann Arbor. Very strange.

Odd…

Apparently, video games do change your perceptions of reality somewhat. Today, we were going to lunch, and we stopped at the bank. I was sitting in the car, and I noticed a motorcycle and a scooter parked near us, and I thought “Cool, I’ll steal one of those rather than a car. They have much better handling.” Now, I wouldn’t have actually stolen any of them, and I wouldn’t even know how, but it’s interesting that I’m evaluating cars I see based on whether or not they’d be good to steal in Vice City.

The Screen Savers cast

Apparently, Megan won’t be coming back to the Screen Savers. She’s going to be working on Call for Help. You can read all about it here.

I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. I always liked Megan, but I always liked Morgan better. Now, both are gone, and Sarah and Jessica have replaced them. Initially, I didn’t think they were any good, but they’ve gotten much better, and by now, I think I actually prefer them to Megan. Not Morgan, but she has her own show now, so that’s okay. So, on the whole, I’m kind of glad that Megan isn’t replacing either Sarah or Jessica. After all, you can’t break up the Screen Savers couple.
