So, I’ve changed our blogging software. We’re now using WordPress, which is open source, and so won’t be yanked out from underneath us. If anyone is having problems, please let me know.
Here’s a visceral explaination for how the election could be so close with all that red on the map. It helps explain a lot.
People keep saying that the country will get together behind Bush. Personally, I don’t see this as happening. It might have happened if Kerry had won, but not for Bush, because people either like Bush, or hate him with a passion.
Personally, I think he’s a horrible leader. He has bad economic policy, he has bad forign policy, he pisses away our personal rights in favor of corporations, and he rapes the environment. I can’t think of a single thing he did well, and I won’t personally support him unless he changes his policies to sane ones.
I guess all I can do is hope that he doesn’t have time to completely destroy this country, our personal freedoms, and our environment in the next four years. I’m not optimistic.
(Note, I personally don’t care much about any of the moral issues that caused Bush to win. They fall far behind the issues I listed above.)
This is amazing. No, ladies and gentlemen, that is not a photograph. It’s a computer rendered image.
This is a sad day for America. I’m not sure I want to live in this country with the values advocated by the voters today.
Voted. It seemed to take forever, and when I got out, I looked at my watch, and thought it had take 2 hours! Turns out I hadn’t reset my watch for daylight savings time ending, and it had only taken one. <phew>
I sincerely hope that, by this time tomorrow, we actually know the winner of the presidential election. If this goes to the courts again, I think I may cry.
Apparently, most of the bloggers I read are for Kerry, or at least against Bush. Probably it’s because they’re all by fairly young computer programmers.
On a side note, www.electoral-vote.com acutally has Kerry ahead tonight, as opposed to the past month, where Bush was ahead. I guess we’ll see tomorrow, unless Florida does it again.
