I really want a digital camera. I keep going to events where other people have digital cameras, and now I’m jealous. I even got to take a picture with one the other day. The one I want is the Canon Powershot s200. It’s really cute and tiny, so I could take it anyplace, but it is a good quality camera and it has a zoom and a little LCD screen, and takes compact flash cards. Basically, it has every feature that I want. The cheapest I can find it on the web (after a lot of searching) is $200. This is still very expensive, so I have not quite been able to convince myself to buy it, yet. Plus, since I am still waiting for my Spike action figure to arrive (I will explain in another entry), I am a bit hesitant to buy anything else online right now, as I do not wish to wait for two things at once. I did try bidding on one of these cameras on ebay, but I wasn’t willing to go over $150 for it, so I got outbid. Buy, hey, even if I spent $200 on the camera, I would only have to take the equivalent of 20 or so roles of film to have made up the cost. Plus, there would be no waiting to get the pictures, I could delete any stupid ones (and try multiple times if I had to to get a good picture), and I wouldn’t have to scan anything to put it on my computer. It seems silly to me that I have a palm, cell phone, laptop and tivo, but no digital camera. I think it’s an oversight, and one of these days I’m just going to have to remedy the situation, even if it does cost money.
