dream
Okay. As all of your know, I’m sure, I have really, really weird dreams. Now, I’m not going to write about every single weird dream I have in this blog, because that would be crazy, and probably boring. But I will tell you about the more interesting/funny ones. So in my dream last night I was with this big group of people, on what seemed to be a group trip to an unspecified foreign country. Oddly enough, while I was wandering the streets of whatever country this was, I came across a “Made in Michigan” store, that was supposed to sell only things that were made in Michigan, obviously. I went inside, and what it really seemed to specialize in were Smurf toys. There were tons of shelves of them. Then, there were also fake Smurf toys of various quality, ranging from little blue people that looked mostly like Smurfs to a fuzzy blue ball on a pair of skis. Also, the store shared space with some sort of music school. I don’t remember what exactly went on at this school, but after seeing it, my comment was, “This place is even weirder than Interlochen.” So it must have been pretty strange. I left the Smurf store/music school, and I went out into the square. I ran into my brother, and gave him this souvenir that I’d bought for him — a tiny pink ceramic tea set that had only 2 cups, but 4 spoons. Then I sat down and started playing with my laptop (which was somehow plugged in.) A bunch of the other people in the group wanted to go out to dinner, so they came and got me, and I just picked up my computer and carried it to the restaurant, not bothering to put it back into the case. At the restaurant, Vern (a designer from Trading Spaces) started complaining that he didn’t want to eat at a sit-down restaurant. He said that he never ate a sit-down restaurants, except for one time when he ate at the Real Seafood Co. in Ann Arbor. So we all got up and went to some little takeout place. While we were waiting for our food, though, I realized that I’d left my laptop at the previous restaurant (a result of not putting it away in its case), so I freaked out and started running back to the restaurant. And that’s when I woke up. I really have no clue where this dream came from. My subconscious is insane.
