Homecoming

So, Homecoming was Saturday. This meant that I had to get up at 5:45 in the morning so that I could go and march with Alumni Band. It was very early. But I had fun anyway. The new turf in the stadium is REALLY nice. It’s not at all hard, like old turf. It really feels springy when you step on it, like real grass. Unlike real grass, however, it’s nice and even and not full of holes or muddy or anything. We got to play Calyptors (Calypso version of The Victors), which made me very happy. I’d been wanting to play that song again for a long time. Hopefully we can play it in pep band this year too. It was kind of cold in the morning, and it looked like it might rain, but eventually the sun came out and it turned into a nice day. The game was good, too. We won 56 to 14, and several of the touchdowns were down in our end zone (pretty much everything else I had to watch on the big screen.) So, to end this kind of rambling entry, here is a picture of some funny food from Michigan Stadium. Apparently instead of popcorn, we now have “Popped Maize”.
